has anyone heard of the band Smegma? Yesterday I found one of their albums on SoulSeek, called "Smell The Remains". Judging by the name and the cover, I thought it was Black Metal or something. But then I found out that it was weird avant-garde rock with tape-loops, a lot of noise and funny lyrics. Some sort of fusion of Krautrock, punk and Zappa... Anyone? (I'm sure Mr. Philippe or Mr. Chantraine has heard of them, you like avant-garde and Krautrock right?) Edited by Joren |

Well I like it. The music is other than you would expect. Not childish and gross, but very experimental! Here's the (very subtle) cover: and here you can find a fan site: http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Gala/8418/smegdex1.html If you want to hear some of their music, my SoulSeek username is Joren (surprising, eh?). You can download some music from me, if you like. Edited by Joren |

Just in case anybody doesnt know, smegma is the dead skin cells that are found under the foreskin of an uncircumsized penis, or on the lips of the vagina. A popular insult in the college crowd at the moment is smegma breath. Fun stuff. |

Sorry, it's not a "gross" band name but it's nonetheless fun. |
