Listening to

 Tangerine Dream – Phaedra

Is like walking through the school corridors

Wearing school uniforms,

And weird ideas in your head,

Ideas that could help you (in future)

Very positive

Personal stuff

I know this is very uncanny

What is your imagination?

I love this track

I'm not sure I follow you, but Phaedra is in fact a great album!Tongue TD were way ahead of their time back then.

A landmark album for T Dream and for electronic prog in general - crucial stuff!

The 2005 Q/MOJO Rock Special Edition "Pink Floyd & The Story Of Prog Rock" stated that Side 2 of the LP was mistakenly "mastered backwards". Listening to it I find this very hard to believe.

However, I could believe that Virgin inadvertently swapped the track titles of the two LP sides. In other words, I could believe that TD intended the first track on Side 1 of the LP to be called Movements Of A Visionary, the second track on Side 1 of the LP to be called Sequent 'C', the first track on Side 2 of the LP to be called Phaedra, and the second track on Side 2 of the LP to be called Misterious Semblance At The Stand Of Nightmares.

If you listed to the tracks, this makes some sense: the 2:17 track does sound spooky; the 10:35 track has the sounds of 'waves' and 'seagulls', and Sequent 'C' [read "sea"] would be a fitting title for that track in my opinion. It does not sound like the "mysterious semblance at the stand of nightmares" to me, whereas the 2:17 track certainly does. Anyone know about this story, or have the same impression about the tracks?

I've always liked Stratosfear so much more than Phaedra or Rubycon though those receive much, much more praise overall.

While listening to Phaedra by TD, I often feel that I'm drifting or being carried by air to another mysterious world where strong winds are blowing and the atmosphere is dark or gloomy. This album sounds dark, mysterious and majestic. It is hard to explain, but this is definitely an excellent album.

My favorite liistening experience with any TD album would have to be Encore Live 1977.  "Coldwater Canyon" and "Desert Dream" are simply impeccable.  While listening to Coldwater Canyon I feel like i am trasnported to the bank of the Colorodo River at dusk withing the Grand Canyon.  and I simply trek the terain for 18 minutes or so.

While listening to Pheadra, I feel like i am an intense game of soccer on the moon.
