Read some years ago in an article that if Japan bought my country every inhabitant got 0.5 million Euro's. SELL the place !!!!   .

I'm an American, and no. I have no sense of national pride for my country. I'd much rather be Swedish, Finnish, or Canadian.

There's a difference between being proud of the current government and being proud of the country. Yes, the Administration started the war, but America is much bigger than that.

Not only history, I think people in Greece are wonderful. They are so friendly and natural, in the same time they have deep self respect - great combination. Nice people, with all my love to my compatriots and other nations, I'm always waiting for the day I'll be in Greece again.

I do have some. I mean i live in the most powerful nation in the world. If only we used the power correctly. But i can't do much about that...at least at this point. Even if i say bad stuff about America, its usually not meant to be aimed at the US itself, but the people in charge/making the decisions, being i disagree with some to alot of the policys/laws/legal actions/etc of the US. But i do feel lucky to be an American...even though i never show it.
So being there is no middle ground answer i guess i will answer yes.

The world would be a better place if countries and nations wouldnt exist.After all we are all humans.Its normal to have national pride,but its not normal to jugde people based on their ethnic appartenance,every individual is different,and i judge people as individuals.For example,i could enjoy more to be in companion with someone having same tastes in music like me and coming from other part of the world than with my neighboor.

And never people should be proud about the fighting, the wars ,the ocupations of their countries and the economic power,but for the people who gave something good to the country ,like artists,scientists ,etc,.

I once said to aapatsos what a teacher told me years ago: "in the end or in the beginning, we're all Greeks." (she was talking about the "Western" Civilization).

Like any country Mexico has awful things... insecurity, stress ,smog, bad poiticians, etc..

Couldnt said it better! but i live in a City named Queretaro in the middle part of Mexico (Just above Mexico City)
Queretaro is a beautiful place, lot of culture and history, is one of the few places with 2 human patrimony awards ("Queretaro", and "Las Misiones de Queretaro")
I love to live here, beautiful place, and good people, if your considering visiting Mexico, i really recommend to visit Queretaro, you will not regreat it

In any case, I don't think there should be nations at all, but rather one unified world. It's laughable, I know, but I feel more of a duty to protect and serve the world than to protect and serve the United States in specific. That notion seems incredibly selfish and isolationist. That's also why the concept of treason baffles me. If my country is doing something I consider wrong, and I join the the other side, one I consider doing the right thing, what gives my country the right to say I'm committing treason. In a globalist point of view, there is no such thing as treason I believe, unless some aliens start attacking Earth and I join them. |

No!. Holland must be one of the most hypocritical countries in the world. We are plagued here by shifty governments who have no direction at all. For instance our neighbours and friends Germany, Belgium and France made a stand when Bush and his clan planned to attack Iraq. Not the Netherlands, Bush is the most powerful man so he has to be followed doesn't care if he lies, our governments are used to that. In politics here telling the truth is not done. Very typical.
Current government is particularly bad but it has always been something of a shambles. At least it's democratic.
We must all count our blessings though and as there is no poverty here i think we are all very lucky that we were born here.
And fortunately there are also some good things going on here. Chess and Bridge scene are very lively here and we have some really good players in both sports.
As for music since i joined PA i have come to recognize that Holland has quite a few good musicians in the past as well as in the present. Also the concert and festival climate here is very good.

Pourquoi croyez-vous que les gens ici ne comprendent rien sauf que ce qu'est ecrit en Anglais? Il y a quelques uns ici qui peuvent comprendre des langues etrangeres (meme s'Ils trompent beacoup en ecrivant Francais ) et si les Francais font conspiration ils la sauront!
