I didn't see this on the first page, so I assume it hasn't been brought up yet...

(Taken from one of the Yes myspaces)

Chris Squire leaves the Syn...

Chris has decided to leave the Syn, and is no longer involved with that band despite reports to the contrary. Chris is involved with other various projects at this time, and will be adding news and updated content to his web site in the very near future.

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

It has been, on the news section.
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity

Oh well, at least Syndestructible was a worthy addition to the Progressive Archive. Maybe CS will attempt getting Yes together for one last stint before Jon Anderson hits 70.

So no relation to a certain The Syn member then Chris?  I forget if it's Paul of Jeremy Stacey that is a member, but I've seen them both as guests for Gov't Mule.

No relation at all mate..................pure coincidence. The Stacey Bros were indeed a big part of the latter Syn.

Both fine musicians by the way.  Infact, one of them was responsible for the music for the television program M.I.T. which sounded quite good to my ears.

No big loss, I have to say, regrettably. Now, if Squire had sung the vocals for the new Syn album, I might be singing a different tune, so to speak. I was massively disappointed when I heard that album, hoping for a continuation of Squire's Fish Out of Water.

As there's already a thread on this, I've closed this one.
