^^^ I will know more only in mid august, after finding housing etc. But I will try to make it happen, even if the chances right now are very slim. Thanks for your offer, I might just take it

hahah.. would be great I'd love to meet you... I'll have an answer for
you before then as to whether I can go and not risk paying $2000 a
month in child support ahahhah This is one case where being married to one who is a non-prog fan, sucks
I think a sudden case of Malaria is my best bet... either that or a BIG
diamond ring for our 10 year anniversery in August. hmmm... I
think I'd rather do the malairia... less painful Seriously though... I think she'll be ok with it.. but you never know... you just never know hahah.

Well I've been posting some messages too. I actually already booked my hotel room but didn't get a ticket yet. I'm also looking for people to hang out with drink a beer with and have dinner with once I'm down there. If anyone isn't tagging along with other people(I'm going down by myself) and is interested please send me a pm.

I don't know whether I will be in Memphis or in Chattanooga then, but if I'm close I will see about going, it sounds fun.

Sorry man can't afford another trip east. But you will enjoy Spiraling. Saw them twice and enjoyed the hell out of them. Not real proggy but very fun nonetheless. Maybe they will dust off Soundchaser like they did at Calprog last year.
Echolyn should be fantastic. I don't know much about the others.
Anyway have a great two days. I love prgo festivals.
Shouldn't it be Prog Days?

Yeah, I learned about this on the Progressive Ears website. I also am on the mailing list and so I saw it again there. I have seen IZZ at least two times and I agree that they are a great band. In fact one time was at PD 02 where they had to improvise with acoustic instruments due to the fact that their power went out for a while during their performance. These guys are great and really a great bunch of folks too. I look forward to their show.

looking forward to it.... bringing a bottle (or two) of Jack with me in case my prog-elitist sensibilities are offended I will get my money's worth out of my ticket
Even if I have to get in the middle of someone's show and
yell.....'add some 'tron dude!!!'!... looking forward to
it actually... it might be a shock at times for my elitiist
sensiblilities but the music should be great.. and I might get an
appreciate for the ..... more modern side of prog.

O.K. I'll try to do that. It would probably be easier if I just tell the whole band that. Actually, why don't you just tell them yourself? It's going to be a great weekend and I'm sure you won't be the only one from the West Coast there.

Believe me we would love to go. We just had to move because the woman we rent from decided to sell the house instead of renting. We had told her last year when we signed the lease we were looking to be 3-4 year tenants. It cost us an extra $1200 in rent and expenses. We are barely going to get to Vegas for Wheatfest (Kansasfans.com gathering) in Sept which we have already paid for the expenses. We are missing The Flower Kings in October and last night there was a show at the LA House of Blues with Chris Squire playing with Nick D'Virgillio-drums,Ryo Okumoto-keys,Alan Morse-guitar, Here is the link.
Anyway I am really PO'd about it.
But have a great time I will be there in spirit!

I don't know how many new fans IZZ will get since most prog fans are probably already aware of them by this point. IF there are local people who are going just to go to a show and barely even know what prog is then yes maybe they will get a few new fans. ;)
Anyway, sorry to hear about your circumstances Garion. Next time make sure you sign a contract that way you can take them to court if they back out on an agreement.
