Are there any good psychedelic rock groups from the 1960's from places other than the U.S. and the U.K.?  I'm quite certain that there are some very good ones out there, I'd be very interested to learn more.

I was checking via a websearch, for the Japanese band Food Brain  (I already have a German CD reissue of their first album) , and one strike (surprisingly to me - Food brain sound more a wacked out hydrid of rock and jazz rock) suggested the band was psychedelia and found on the following compilation:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005R65W/104-5986217-8511951?v=glance&n=5174

Checking further about this compilation, it appears to be one from a series of albums covering psychedelia from countries other than the obvious.

Os mutantes, a Brazillian band. I don't have any of there stuff but I have heard a lot and it's really classic stuff.
