What style is it? Is it like Radiohead, or something different?

Allmusic info.

It will not surprise anyone, but will probably delight most Radiohead fans. It's a tad less "noisy" and angular than a proper Radiohead album, but sounds really promising after one listen - quite definitely at least a solid four-star, possibly a five if it has some staying power. It's not unlike the more vocal-oriented songs from any of the three last Radiohead albums.

Thom says it's like radiohead, but it has a lot more use of effects and is more electronic, I've heard.

It's sort of like Radiohead, but almost reminds me a bit of Bjork.  Not prog at all, and not quite up to Radiohead's standards, but taken on it's own away from RH's brilliant discography, it's a pretty solid effort.

I like it and yes it's much more electronic than most of Radiohead's songs. Very good though, though probably not considered "progressive" if that matters to anyone (which it shouldn't). It's very well produced in my opinion. I like it a lot actually.

It's actually very Radiohead-esque in my opinion except that there's kind of an absense of guitars. Still it's very good and I wouldn't feel guilty about getting leaks with how anti-commercial Radiohead tries to be sometimes...Thom's probably the one who leaked it Wink.

it's very electronic, think Amnesiac.. to be honest, it's hard to see what the other guys did on their more electronic albums. This is a brilliant album, sounds like it could be Radiohead... yet there's something more

And I work at XL Recordings, Mr. Spiral

Ah, well from what people are saying this record sounds pretty exciting.

I was just wondering, outside of radio, what kind of office gets advances of good records...  and of course a record company would...Tongue

lol ;) It's a wicked album like... I think people will be very pleased, though it is similar to Radiohead, it's hard to define the identities of Radiohead after hearing this album
