I am intending to buy Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Apocalypse".

I can either buy the British release for £8-99 or the American import for £11-99.  They each have a different year as the time they were released.

My question is, are they both the original version, or is one of them re-mastered, or are both re-mastered but in different years?  Sometimes re-mastered versions are not necessarily better than originals, but I want to know what you think about it.

Also, would you believe that "Birds of Fire" and "Visions of the Emerald Beyond" are deleted?  These two are both classics.  Thankfully, I have got the former on cassette and the latter on CD already.
The music I enjoy is complex; varied; deep and well played.

No Mahavishnu records have been deleted.  They're all available....in fact, Sony remastered the first LP and Birds.. in 2000.  The rest of the catalog is available on the Columbia Jazz Masters series, which is due for a remastering.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

I'm PRETTY sure I've seen a remastered 'Apocalypse'... think I saw a copy just the other day when I was looking for 'Trident Sessions'...99% sure it was a remaster, but what do I know.
