William Hung is my favorite RIO/Avant artist and quite possibly my favorite prog artist of all time. Just listen to his masterpieces "Inspiration" and "Hung For Holidays". Masterly, creative soundscapes + amazing voice, and you get some of the best progressive rock ever made. Don't let the jazzy touch fool you, he is full-blown RIO with sertain jazz and kraut influences(Just listen to O Come All Ye Faithful from the Hung For Holidays album). I volunteer to write the bio when the RIO/avant team accepts him

William Hung is far too great a visionary to even be included on our site.  A term such as "prog" doesn't begin to encapsulate the level of astonishing genius this man has bestowed upon the human race.

William Hung (or Bill HungWink) are one of the pioneers of the RIO/Avant-Prog genre, along with Frank Zappa. He created some of the most unique and original music of the 20th century, and he's still going on, creating some of the best prog music ever!

William Hung carries on the genre of RIO to mainstream audiences today, he is truly a revolutionary. No artist will come close to producing music of his scope. He has saved RIO as we know it.
