Like them a lot. My favourite of their albums is 'Prince Of Heaven's Eyes'. It's twee, yes, but I think that gives them a charm and one of my all time fave prog epics is on that album, 'It's All Up Now'.

I'd say "dislike". Though there are songs that I like. Hence, the third option.

Very good band - like them a lot.
Slightly overlooked for some reason, but they have one of the better guitarists.

Nice to see some other Fruuppophiles about. A definite +++ from me, particularly for ' Modern Masquerades' which is an excellent album imo. Also not surprised at the number of 'never heard of thems'. Fruupp on!

Looking still the same after all these years... mrgd

In my opinion Fruupp is an often overlooked band that made wonderful, very distinctive progrock that doesn't sound derivative as I read in previous threads. Especially the tasteful arrangements, keyboard work, vocals and subtle shifting moods are the strong points in their music !

Definitely not a fan of the band! Although I did make a compilation Cd-r , I know I will not listen to it very often in my life.
I struggled to get a full 80-minutes' worth on that compilation
I would not say I dislike them, just they do absolutely nothing for me. Ther derivative nature (Yes, Genesis, Camel and a bit of GG in the last album, Modern Masquerade) of their music is also a drawback for me.
Their main composer was (Vince McCusker) a guitarist, and this is usually not a strenght in prog, always more possibilities if you compose on keyboards.

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

I have a soft spot for them as they were recommended to me very early on in my prog-lovin' lifetime and at the time they impressed me. They're still fun to listen to, but certainly not the best thing prog has to offer.

That was going to be my post! They quote Water Music in "Faced with Shekinah" which gives me a smile everytime I hear it.
