I have only a live from 1978 recorded in Japan. He is a StarStarStarStarStar live, StarStarStarStarStar Jazz Hard Prog Rock, StarStarStarStarStar in the Ian Gillan Band songs, StarStarStarStarStar in a Japanese Music intro of DP's CHILD IN TIME and StarStarStarStarStar for the Jazz version of CHILD IN TIME, WOMAN FROM TOKIO and SMOKE ON THE WATER.

What do you think about the inclusion of Ian Gillan Band in PA?

I think that I suggested that once, but probably no one took any notice. IG's jazz-rock albums are excellent (particularly "Clear Air Turbulence), as is his later, harder-edged output - featuring the remarkable talents of keyboardist Colin Towns and current Iron Maiden guitarist Janick Gers (another member of that famous hot list of mine...LOL).

BTW, I voted yes, but I can already see it rejected... and it should have gone in "Suggest New Bands and Artists"!Wink

Ciao!!!!

Agreement with Ghost Rider, both the Ian Gillan Band and Gillan deserve to be included.

Gillan has the harder edge Deep Purple sound.  The talents of keyboardist Towns, plus guitarists Gers, and Bernie Torme are just as good as what was/is found in Deep Purple
