LTE is outstanding fusion band, while DT is good metal band.
LTE are much much more to my likings.

LTE hasn't had enough album to really show the greatness, though those two albums are outstanding. Dream Theater for me..

Dream Theater without a doubt, because John Myung is a missing factor in LTE. But the quality of DT and LTE is the same

i would go with DT for several reasons

a)they have had 8 albums, while LTE has only had 2

b)in actuality, LTE is basically DT without labrie and myung..

on the other hand..

LTE has done an EXCELLENT job as an instrumental band (2 albums is great)Clap

....but i'd still go with DT because Labrie's powerful vocals add so much to the songs.. as well as lyrics. a song must obtain lyrics to have a clear message.

oh if only we could go back again.."

LTE v Rudess Era DT I'd take LTE.

But as a whole Dream Theater takes it easy.

Why ?

Labrie's not in it !
