Punk sucks the most. All others on that list evenly behind.

...except hair metal, some of which(namedly Skid Row) is quite good.

All the attention for progmetal and bands that has nothing to do with progrock, Prog Archives is flooded by those bands, back to the roots!

I agree on gangsta rap. To an extent, these styles might have something good in them sometimes but gangsta rap seems to be the exception.

The genre is musically not interesting but the whole thing that comes with it (ideology, videos) is even worse. In fact, I just hate the gangsta's ideology. That's not even close to funny and intelligent.

Ouch

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

There are always exceptions to the rule, but I guess we are generalizing. I see no overall redeeming qualities in Gangsta Rap. Most of it could be concieved, and recorded in less than a day. Not much talent needed.

I also think that the resurgence of the hair bands is pretty sad. But, there is at least some writing of music, and playing of instruments involved there.

Country. At least some rap is enjoyable for comical purposes (for example, "Let's Gooooooooooooooooooo" by Lil Jon and Trick Daddy)

ahhh.... I particularly loathe crossover country... some beefcake/pretty boy  from frickin California or wherever  who couldn't hack it in a rock band.... moves to Nashville.... throws a cowboy hat on...voila...he's country.  Give me some *ss kicking, whiskey drinking, tobacco chewing, time in the state pen old style country music.   Some David Allan Coe perhaps hahahha.

To paraphrase the immortal D.A.C. with regards to today's country music..that I'm subjected too on a daily basis by my loving wife hahahah

' If that is country..I'll kiss your *ss'

Atleast country supports good morals, well, to a larger extent than "ganster rap" atleast. If I had to choose which is better to encourage in music, between drinking, (country), or getting high from illegal drugs, (rap), I'd choose country since atleast getting drunk is legal, though it shouldn't be. Angry

But I do dislike it just as much as rap, musically.Dead
