I took the debut, because it is second only to Solar music Live, but for some reasons most everyone ignores it.

Thumbs Up It's good to see you posting so much about Grobschnitt lately. I voted Solar music Live
which i think is one of the greatest albums ever made. Rock Pommels land is also an outstanding album.

I only have their debut and Solar Music Live. So if I could vote over the two I would go with Solar Music Live by a hair. The debut has some very powerful stuff too.

Rockpommel's Land, i feel, is just one of those albums where everything came together just right even though the silly concept could cause major problems, but it didn't and i think it is fantastic

Solar Music Live is easily the best live album i have ever heard

but i voted RL

Solar Music is for me one of the highlights in German progrock, incredible dynamic and original! My favorite studio album is Ballermann, I bought the 2-LP in the late Seventies and I still love it.

Rockpommel's Land for me, although sometimes a bit too laidback.

I have their first, Jumbo, Rockpommel's and Illegal.  I like Rockpommel's very much, Jumbo is very good, Illegal does not do much for me at all, and my favourite is their first.

I am glad that I added The International Story to this site because it's one of the highlights of German progrock history, good to see the positive reactions on this thread and the euphoric review from today!

Voted for Solar Music - Live... great stuff, but I like all previous albums to it, including the not voted (until now) "Jumbo".

I think of music connection between Grobschnitt and Yes (there is also connection related to cover of “Rockpommel’s Land” and works of Roger Dean). “Soon” is last part (for many people the most interesting part – I don’t think so) of “Gates Of Delirium”. “Soon” ought to be considered as calm, even silence after violent and mad previous part of that track when musicians of Yes fight (only on music field) one another. Silence after storm. That’s way “Soon” – in my opinion – is fantastic part of “Gates Of Delirium” (Moraz is fantastic, tooSmile).

I find mentioned music idea in title track – “Rockpommel’s Land”.

Smile

YESS, It's my review... I like a lot the 2CD set... The 'Die Sinfonie' live version is just Fantastic... The second algum brings some nice Illegal songs mixed with classic ones...
For me it's hard to vote here... about studio albuns, every day I like more one than other...
I heard so much 'Rockpommel's Land' in the past, so after a while, yesterday I really liked to hear some songs on 'The International Story'... but... allthough Rockpommel's Land is one of my favorites album ever, I'm not anymore a bigger fan of symphonic rock, I'm now more fan of the 'Solar Music Live'...

LOL

mine's coming up next week or something

However, I must say I am not a fan of Jumbo or Rockpommel Land because there Grobschnitt is simply too derivative of Yes and Genesis
