Xiu Xiu (pronounced shoo shoo); I would love to see this band in the prog archives because they are so deserving of it. They are art rock, experimental, ambient, electronic and so much more. Jamie Stewart (the singer and whatever he plays) sounds breathless when he sings, but at times he just lets it all out. The lyrics are fantastic, with morose topics such as war, AIDS and suicide. You're likely thinking what a wrist cutter, but his comical approach usually puts a smile on your face, even if the song is about walking in on your dad about to hang himself (not saying that is in a song, just an example). They are a recent band, but they have released an album a year, so there is a lot to listen to. 

I recommend the albums: 

1) Fabulous Muscles (2004)

&

2) A Promise (2003)

There is also, La Forte (2005), Knife Play (2002) (which I just got today ^_^) and the soon to be released The Air Force (2006).

	Decent band, but experimental and diverse does not automatically equal prog. They're more of an interesting indie rock band with some electronic elements, I wouldn't think to include them on here.

	Their 2006 album has leaked and (I hear) it's the greatest thing ever! I am for their inclusion, especially knowing that there are ROCK influences(someone once made an excuse that prog artists need to rock out to be included)along with experimental, avant-garde and post-rock ones. I'm just a silly Prog-Metal Specialist though, I suppose it's Bryan and his team who should make the decision. Plus, I don't see what wouldn't make Radiohead prog that disqualifies Xiu Xiu automatically. -- Ivan
