From the official IM website, here's a complete videoclip of "The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg", from their forthcoming album "A Matter of Life and Death":
http://www.ironmaiden.com/homepage.php?section=0&subsection=0 The images are nothing to write home about, but the song is quite stunning, and over 7 minutes long! If that's a taste of the album, I can't wait to listen to it... |

First time I´ve heard that song, it really rocks!! I think I must invest in this album.
The album cover also looks great.

Reincarnation : nice song, nothing more, nothing less. It is an average song. I used to love Maiden, their latest cd's are very mediocre imo. Their latest interesting one was Fear of the Dark. |

^ I enjoyed Brave New World but not Dance of Death
they seem to keep repeating themselves lately Reincarnation's beginning with a usual bass line and ending again the same way, as in may songs in BNW... |

A riff driven Maiden song ? Without the infamous dual guitar harmonies ? Can Maiden actually renew themselves after all this time ? I think they can indeed ! What really excites me about the upcoming 'A Matter of Life and Death Album' is that the majority of songs are written by Dickinson/Harris/Smith, and Smith has always been my favorite guitarist/songwriter in Iron Maiden.

You mean Fear of the Dark, X Factor and Virtual XI ?
I admit FOTD had it's moments, but X Factor, apart from The Sign of the Cross, I personnaly think it's a complete disaster. Virtual XI had quite a few good songs in Futureal, Lightning Strikes Twice, The Clansman, When two worlds collide and Como Esta Amigo, that I give to you.
The last two, Brave New World and Dance of Death are Maiden's best works since 7th Son without a doubt. So let's say I partly agree with you. He's actually not that bad.
