Morte Macabre - Symphonic Holocaust(1997-
Sweden)

This is a great album of incredibly doomy dark
progressive that took me a very long while to really
get into. Morte Macabre is sort of a concept band
made up from me

Yeah, great band, great sound, very dark... This mixture between members of Anekdoten and Landberk really works... Superb work on mellotron... 5 stars, totally!!!

I hopefully will have it as well, along with the back catalogue of Anekdoten.  Hopefully by the end of the year!

Totally agree. It's one of those albums that continues to grow on me with every listen. The title track is one of my favourite instrumental pieces along with Tangerine Dream's Fly and Collision of Comas Sola. The way it just continues to build and build in intensity is brilliant.

Perhaps my favourite instrumental album of the last twenty years.

I think that the long title jam is the best song on this fine album! Smile
