I think that album is one of the greatest albums ever let alone one of the greatest debut albums.

	The presence of Buckethead, Brain, Bernie Worrel, Bootsie Collins, etc., doing some might complex hybrid of R'nB, rock, jazz, turntablism, high speed guitar shredding, etc will probably have the more musically experimental of PA buzzing. One problem is obtaining Praxis recordings, which never seem to be on the same label twice - I've been lucky with Selectra Disc in Nottingham have a Bill Laswell section in the secondhands and being able to find two Praxis studio albums there - but the Live Praxis was found in the Virgin Megastore in Paris! Check out Bill Laswell recordings released under his own name, e.g. for the Santana and Miles Davis remix albums. The more eclectic releases of his Axiom label (was in the UK was part of the Island Antilles label) of which the Jonas Hellborg album *The Word* was a particular delight, with Hellborg playing acoustic bass guitar, Tony Williams on drums and a string quartet! Quiz: which Laswell produced album holds the last known recordings of both Jaco Pastorius and Paul Butterfield???

	And should have added Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains, is known locally as either Prixas or Pramas, because of the musical overlaps.
