Be aware that the genuine meaning of epicurian is more sobriety and simplicity than the hedonism that you're alluding to.

Buddhism offers technics such as breathing or Mantra singing.
Unfortunatly, christianism in his current form, has lost this esoteric dimension.
You only have to BELIEVE in what they said but it offers no "technic" to feel better, to connect with the infinity. Prayer is not a good one, IMO, as it exalts human ego.
