On the canterbury organigram provided with my japanese Third release, there's a Matching mole 3 mentionned (1973).
Don't know if it has been recorded...

Can't find anything about that in Callyx...

Really? Matching Mole certainly only recorded studio albums however, there was plans to reform the band with Francis Monkman, Robert Wyatt, Bill Macormick and Gary Windo so that could be what there talking about. also some people see 'End of an Ear' as the first matching mole record which could explain things. If there is an unreleased Matching Mole album i would be very interested

There are the two live albums: Radio One In Concert  (Windfall Records) and the more recently issued Cuneiform live recording. However, it is difficult to understand how End of An Ear would get confused as a Matching Mole recording.

I only know about the archived live stuff.

Actually, there are two recent live releases from Cuneiform, "Smoke Signals", which has excerpts from various concerts, and "March" which is one show. Both fascinating and excellent, the latter has a better sound quality, but more of Wyatt's sometimes annoying psychedelic scat vocals.
