To be added to the database, a band must:
- at present or in the past have had a release (minimum EP) that has been commercially available
- one of the specialist genre teams at the site must evaluate the artist to consider whether or not they fit the criterias for progressive music as defined on this site in general and for the individual subgenres in particular

Basically: If the first point applies, I suggest you open a thread in the "suggest new artists" part of the forum, supply a link to MySpace or a similar site whicg offers the team(s) the possibility to evaluate the music. And then take it from there :-)

Hi, I've had an entry in the archive for a couple of years now with an album called Isle of eight, but I've realised that there is no accompanying music track. Is it ok to load one up in retrospect.

Also I have a new album out called "the Mad Monk and the Mountain", could you point me in the right direction for getting a review?

Hi Colin, welcome to the forums!

The answer to your first question is yes, mp3 files can be submitted regardless of when was the music published or added to the PA database. You can send the files to the email address provided on the first page on this thread.

For reviews, I suggest opening a thread in this section of the forum: Official "Review Our Music" Board .

How about a streaming Mp3 page specifically for forum members music, or has that been done already?
 Some people might not want a review or profile, or to be added to the database. Just a chance for other forum members to listen to what music other forum members are making. No copyright issues, there, as it's all original material, and sending an Mp3 for inclusion would be 'permission', in itself.

Hello, I have sent two songs from the debut album of the brazilian Prog Folk band Ashtar, and i wondered if you can put up both songs, because the second one is actually but an outro.

Short answer: It won't. They are signed by a label which are dead set against the songs by their artists being streamable from any website.

I've just learnt that King Crimson prohibited the use of mp3 streaming. Cry
So I wonder if other artists have done this, too?

i send my songs, with all they ask.

a mail, with a link of some hosting. i sent megaupload link,
the archive have a description name.
the songs have all in order.

to the mail they posted.

and never uploaded to the post of the band.

i sent 3 times, and talked with some persons.... but , nothing...

why?

maybe the mail never arrived?
