I reviewed one of the albums in question to see what it was like, after hearing it I thought it was okay - 2 stars but of course 5 stars was stretching things.
I won't be reviewing any of the others - theres too much of the good stuff out there such as TAAB2

Ah, I see what you mean. Sorry, I don't know many 2012 releases. That's, unfortunately, a pretty common form of ratings manipulation. And sometimes they rate more earlier albums, I expect, to try to throw not so sleuthful people such as myself off the scent.

Can I suggest a "x" box adjacent to the stars? It can happen that one clicks on a ratin by mistake and having the possibility to delete it would be good.
I use the stars to remember which albums I have already reviewed and which not, so the red stars under the album's icon are useful, but in order to avoid the "Jose Natal" issue, it would probably be better if the path to rate an album was a bit more difficult. If you look at the multiple ratings made by Jose Natal Queiroz Armani you can see that the fake accounts are always in the same sequence, so it's likely a software. Having to reach the "write a review" page for each album even for a rating only would made the things a little be difficult for idiots like him.

What gets me is that if I wanted to be a complete jackass and troll the website, I would have chosen albums that would have really riled feathers such as Abacab or Big Generator, or a real bottom-of-the-barrel scraper like Timeline by Renaissance. This dude may just genuinely love these tributes since they're neither lauded or reviled. Really odd. |

Have you given a look to the ratings of Close to The Edge? He has done the same to anything of YES, I don't think he has ever listened to any of those tribute albums, then look at the sequenco of the fake names he's using. It's always the same, so it's like he's using a software for doing it. His ratings do not have effects on albums like Big Generator because of the high number of reviews and ratings that it has, but look here. Some "regular" raters are between his many fake accounts on the Big Generator's ratings (currently it has the 14% of 5-stars ratings)
Why does he behave so? Only because he's an idiot who hasn't understood what's this site is about and why we do rate albums.
