As a whole, Six Degrees is my favorite Dream Theater album.  Even though it's really only six songs, they are all awesome.

The orchestral bit is dire! It sounds like something from a Disney film! Good album though.

6DOIT is an amazing album in my opinion! "The Glass Prison" is currently one of my favourite Dream Theater songs. And the title track itself (although not as good as SFAM), is absolutely brilliant.

I don't know why, but the first CD sucks to me in SDOIT. I'm kind of weird Dream Theater fan: I own most of the albums I think, but I only like Awake, Train of Thought and 2nd half of SDOIT.

The first track on CD1 of six degrees basically IS train of thought. In fact isn't part II of it on the Train of Thought album?

My 2 cents, 6DOIT is a masterpiece, probably my favorite DT album at the moment. I think that Misunderstood has good lyrics. Overall I would give it a 9.5/10.
