I think the best one is the chronological. To not let you simply with that, here's succintly how it goes:

he has left us alone: an energetic debut, one "defying" qualifications already, probably even their best
born into trouble: a grave and excelent work, within great reasons and quite splendid movements
this is our punk:somehow eccentric and with its epic taste; it's a recoil, in some ways
lightning paw: some explosions of style and "natural" music here and there; could just work, EPs are as good as LPs.
horses in the sky: read my review LOL - I think it's a fine work of both art work and music in-sensations, if you can get the hint.

I sure went chronologically and it was all smooth.

all of them? Shocked

carefull them to resist the music action, plus to remember, afterwards, how the real and beautiful (well...with some beauty in it) world looks like. LOL

I bought their stuff in a random order, so couldn't judge on how good chronological order is...I like the first album "He has left us alone" the best though.

Make sure you listen to "This is our Punk Rock" several times - the tracks are longer then their averge and quite difficult to get to grips with.

Very good band.

What are the long term effects of doing this when you're already sad? Ouch LOL

Yeah, chronologically works best IMO. You'll be stunned when you listen to He has left us alone... for the first time. The others are all great. I haven't heard the last one though.

You're not alone, I found "Born Into Trouble" their most depressing album too. Horribly sad stuff.
