Great early performance by the Mothers in Sweden 1967 on Rhino's bootleg series. Of interest to fans but especially valuble as a look at American progressive rock in its newborn state. Featured is 'Petroushka', Tchaikovsky's 6th and an amazing version of 'King Kong'.

One of the better of the "Beat the Boots!" series.

How's the sound quality?  I hear some of the "Beat the Boots" disks are really tough to listen to.

Well, if you have enough boot experience you start to develop an ear for it; if you factor in mediocre sound in exchange for a great or important performance the sound becomes tolerable. Of course, I cut my teeth on Zep boots which can, in certain cases, be atrocious sounding. The quality of this recording? Not great, but it's not the worst I've heard either.

It's been awhile since I listened to it, but as I recall it isn't half bad soundwise - certainly MUCH better than "Piquantique" and "Unmitigated Audacity".
