I've made the comfortable choice to grasp Bell Orchestre and their singular album up this Sunday. Now, as usual, I'm asking for some opinions regarding the album, their style, the expectations and the attentions.Smile

I like this album - post-rock but not overly depressing as pleasantly opposed to the usual style of this subgenre. IMO it's more varied and, may I say, more complex than average post rock album, which is also adding to the quality. Musicianship and production are very good. 4.5 stars from me, and great expectations for their future works.

I find this to be an uplisting album (like Explosions In The Sky and Magyar Posse are to me).
Very nice album.
And very nice art work.

Good to hear you like Kings Of Time. I still need to listen to their other albums.

Bell Orchestre is great band. Very uplifting as everyone already said. This band often reminds me of a marching band with all of the horns, violins and drums. It has an epic feel to it as well...

Ok, forget everything I said and just look at the art cover and the name of the band; that will give you an example of their sound.

I listned to Recording A Tape The Colour Of The Light earlier today.

Its was stellar.  The violin is not overdone as heard in thier Montreal collegues A Silver Mount Zion.

Its a solid album.  Closer to Chamber post rock.  Post Rock sans guitar.  Very mellow, very beautiful.
