Quote from Robert Fripp: "On headphones I am listening to a Porcupine Tree track that I have been invited to blast over."
"Blast over" sounds great! Can´t wait to hear that!

Nothing big, but on November 21st Fripp updated his diary with a small bit about PT in there:

"Starbucks, U District, Seattle.

A call to The Minx, in France continuing to deal with business.

I have persuaded the Starbucks’ manager to turn down the in-house music selection. No doubt it was selected, but not with me in mind. On headphones I am listening to a Porcupine Tree track that I have been invited to blast over." - I'm guessing it was track 5 or 6 of the stuff they played live. Wink

despite being underwhelmed by porcupine tree's last album, steven wilson is still a genius (haven't got round to listening to much king crimson, but certainly fripp commands a lot of respect from prog fans), so this should be very good indeed.

It'll also be interesting to see what wilson adds to Orphaned Land, after his successful collaboration with opeth ( i think he's producing their upcoming album)

Oh yes. And I agree completely with Mr Fripp's comments on both PT and Tool!

I admit I am truly excited about this. But let us not forget that Adrian Belew graced the title track of Deadwing with a beautifully freaky guitar solo, so this is not the first time a Kc man is involved in porcupine affairs.

Fripp hears greatness when he knows it...  He must hear it all the time.

Here, here!!  From the sounds of things... this could very-well be PT's best release yet.  The new material was stunning, and with Fripp on-board... I'm stupefied at the thought of the greatness this will surely be.

Heart
Me want album now.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

This is so cool.  One of my favorite guitarists with one of the greatest bands around.

Robert Fripp will contribute to Porcupine Tree's new album.

"Porcupine Tree, whose new album I have been invited to play on (an offer which I have gratefully accepted)."
