Twin friends of mine recently published Conspiracy of Calaspia, their first book of many from Insanity, a serie of fantasy novels they've been working on since they were eleven years old.
I'm still waiting for my copy of the book, but I was priveledged enough to read part of an earlier version of the book wich I really enjoyed, and I saw quite a large amount of reviews that confirmed this.

The first book in the Insanity series follows the adventures of Bryn 
Bellyset, a thoughtful young Barue who is heir to the famous Bellyset 
family, as he is pitched into a world of horror that gives way to a 
tapestry of deceit.
When Bryn returns to the village that reared him after a period of academic 
exile, the welcome celebrations are cut short when disaster overtakes the 
village and Bryn's rosy inheritance prospects are darkened by the stench of 
deception and illusion, which soon give rise to danger of a far greater 
scale...
