Why aren't these guys on here? They are amazing. Members of ASIA (John Payne, Guthrie Govan, and Jay Schellen) with Ryo Okumoto on the keyboard. Amazing band. What genre would be good for them? Prog Metal?

Not prog metal or neo prog, but definitely prog related. I think the album is a fair bit proggier than the Payne era Asia, which itself was a little proggier than the Wetton era. I do agree that GPS should definitely be here- a fine album.

Have you bought shares in them or have you nothing else to worry about at the moment?

oh,I forgot...."prog is your life"

These things tend to move slowly;opinions need to be gathered, pens need to be pushed and in the case of the Prog-Metal team, virgins have to be slaughtered!
Given the dearth of appropriate sacrifices round here that means waiting quite a long time

Yes it is. Big smile

I also have listened to the one album way too many times (Embarrassed) and I'm wanting to review it sometime.

Prog-metal? It doesn't seem to be Prog-metal to me. Except for the first song.

Did I say they were Prog-Metal?

I mentioned The PM Team because they are a bunch of depraved degenerates who cavort about covered in blood,brain-addled with exotic intoxicants, dancing naked with half-crazed nymphos....

...and they wont let me on the team.....

Where's GPS? They should be approved, though they are not prog-metal, but much harder than asia, and I think proggier, too. Include them now.. Be kind. It's such an incredible omission of this site not to have this band listed... If virgins have to be slaughtered, I'll offer my services (if by slaughter we mean take the "virgin" out of the equation and not literally slaughter, though I've been known for eating flesh...)

Should they be added to Art Rock? Based solely on this from the Art Rock definition "Bands that are one of a kind, and for that reason can't be included as part of any sub-genre"

If we could get some samples, we could see whether they are likely candidates for AR. These days I have some time to listen to the materials I've been submitted by various forum members and Collabs, as I am often working at home - so, I promise to make a quick decision should they fit in our category.

Well you kinda have to listen to the whole album to understand (I hope) why I think it is art rock.

Go to http://www.musicbygps.com/ to sample.

Good stuff and they should have a place here. They're not prog metal, but maybe prog related.

I do not think they are prog related because they are the members from Asia and this is a whole lot proggier than Asia and Asia is in prog related. Also it is hard to put them in a sub genre because all the songs have varying opinions on what section to put them in, so I think they should be added to Art Rock a category.
