I have only their album the painter's palette, which I think most people consider their most interesting work to date.  It is kind of a concept album based on synaesthesia - the sound of each track is supposed to evoke a particular colour.  This doesn't work for me, but it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the album.  Musically it is complex death metal heavily infuenced by jazz - e.g. some tracks feature jazz trumpet.  I find it works pretty well.  The vocals are a mixture of screaming / growling and clean (from two different singers).  There is some synth work but not much and it isn't annoying.  The lyrics don't make much sense, but then that's nothing unusual with metal and I don't think it makes any difference - this recording is all about the music.

All in all I think it's an excellent album that anyone who likes adventurous metal should hear - and there's a sample track on PA.

Painter's Palette pretty much sums them up ... listen to short samples here - or buy the whole album:

Yes, they're metal-oriented, but more in a math/jazz kind of way.  I enjoy the album I have, 'Pain Necessary to Know', but it's pretty out there.  Thumbs Up
