Topic: OK, me too!!! Posted: January 17 2007 at 19:38 |
I must confess I gave up. I made a "pick-one-from-some-of-my-faves"poll! Neither the populars(with some exceptions...) nor the rarest things(I'd like to include some REALLY rare CDs,but then turned my head on - who'd vote for them except me? ) A rational selection - "10 000 Days" is my fave from 2006 OPETH's second is my fave from them GYBE's masterpiece is a Post-Rock fave TMV's debut brought me to Modern Prog DISCIPLINE's album is a New Symphonic fave THE WATCH's is a best album GENESIS never did LDF's one is an Italian Prog fave Gabriel's LP is a surprising present from a Prog veteran COLLAGE's amazing CD is my fave Neo album while SCRIPT is the favouritest and the most important album in my entire life vote.I refuse to!

Nearly impossible to pick.
Despite my obsession with Opeth, GYBE's Lift Your Skinny Fists is the defining album of post rock, and definitely will go down as an essential milestone for prog.
My top 3 of this list
1. GY!BE
2. Opeth
3. Marillion

I must confess, nothing beats Fish era Marillion, Tool's 10,000 Days was my second choice.
