I didn't listen too much of this band(guy), my friend is a fan and showed me some cds....i think for what i heard theyre very progressive, listen to "dead lovers sarabande pt2" and youll know what i mean for songs like varnitas varnitas and if loneliness was all
it's very depressive music, dark wave and gothic, many use of strings...

I'd like to see Sopor in the archives. but im not sure if much of his work "crosses" that invisible line. I say Do It, but...

I love Sopor Aeternus, but I don't think his/her (don't you just hate that awkward trans-gendered pronoun confusion?) music really qualifies as progressive. If anything it's regressive.
