While I appreciate everything that it is, I can't get into it. I realize that this is probably me and not the song itself, so I said it was a nice song. Try not to hate me too much

Gates Of Delirium is the best Yes song I have ever heard but then I only have 3 of their albums (TYA, CTTE and Relayer). Its a damn good song, much better than anything else I have heard from them but I have heard much better songs.

Certainly in contention for the title of "Best Yes song ever". I love the bit where Alan White comes in with the thunderous drumming (after the main battle sequence) which slows down and leads into Patrick Moraz's keyboard bit.

Definitely a masterpiece, maybe my favorite Yes song (CttE and the first two tracks from TFTO come close).

In my opinion, the best Yes song ever AND a masterpiece of prog. I was lucky enough to see and hear that song played live during the symphonic tour (something which took me by surprise) in Montreal.
If a song can make an album, Relayer is my favorite Yes album.

Actually, the ultimate prog song is CAN's Halleluwah... but to each his own.

masterpiece of prog, but not their best (that would be close to the edge or heart of the sunrise).

I'll take the ungiven option.. great song. . not the best they
did... though agree with the thread starter.. it came across much
better live than the Relayer cut. With everything out
there... calling it a 'masterpiece' is cutting a bit thin.
A great song.. one of many they did.
