An 18 pieces band, inspired to "The Silmarillion" of J.R.R.Tolkien...a very special and good project with lots of guest playng cello, violin, viola, horns, harp, flute.. and so ! Fantastic female voice !!

^^^

I still haven't listened the album but the label is the italian Electromantic Music which publishes many prog bands as Arti & Mestieri, Il Castello di Atlante, Randone, Calliope, Furio Chirico, Venegoni & Co et cetera.... so this is a a clear evidence for proggresiveness, in my opinion, or, at least, I presume...Wink

I saw Ainur live last year in January at a Tolkien-themed event in the suburbs of Milan to which I was invited as a speaker. Their prog leanings were immediately evident to me as I was listening to their performance. Incidentally, their album was reviewed on the Italian website MovimentiProg. As far as I know, they will probably perform later this year (end of April) at the second edition of the same event, which will be based on music in Tolkien's world. Ubi Maior will also be playing there. I'll post the details as soon as I know something.
