BTW, my vote goes to PFM, due to their wonderful Stati di Immaginazione, along with fabulous and immortal other records in the seventies...Embarrassed
 
Dalton are an interesting band for sure and their music is rather beautiful!Thumbs%20Up
 
Cannot really consider them as better than PFM, though.

It's a shame there are no streaming tracks here of Dalton as I have never heard them -- didn't find any at the official site or via a rather quick google search either.  Interesting reviews, Mandrake, you have really piqued my curiosity.  As an mp3 is worth a thousand words (to adapt that old adage), I wonder if anyone knows where they may be sampled?

Mind you, I'd be reluctant to vote unless I'd heard a whole album of Dalton's anyway.  Still, based on description alone, I'd be very surprised if I enjoyed the Dalton albums as much as my favourite PFM albums (Storia, Per un Amico, and L'isola which are pinnacles of Prog for me).
Just a fanboy passin' through.
