Nobody knows the French band Ergo Sum?
I sent some material about this group, for including in Prog Archives, but till now...silence.
For me, the album " Mexico" (1971) is a fine example of blues-rock-folk progressive, very original too. It deserve an inclusion in the PA database.

Excuse me, who did you send the material to? I think you realise people here work for free, and it can happen that they sometimes lose track of suggestions.

By the way, Ergo Sum are in the Master List, under Bands/Artists to be discussed. As they are indicated as a possible Art Rock addition, I'd be very glad to have some material sent my way in order to submit it to the AR team for possible addition.

I sent the material at : [email protected] (February 10A bioth).

A brief bio, a band pic, the track-list of their unique album, and four  .mp3 tracks.

    Bye.

I can confirm we received a submission for Ergo Sum, although there is more than 1 band with this name.

If you only sent the submission in on Feb 10th, I'm afraid you may have to wait a while as there is a long queue.

Is there a band called Tabula Rasa too? because we'd have the whole line of latin cliches collected in prog rock =)

Yes, I know that: there is another band from Chile, already in PA database . I wrote this in my message: "my" Ergo Sum indeed is a FRENCH band.

 Bye.

Chopper sent me the samples, but I thought that Ergo Sum (definitely deserves inclusion) would not fit in prog folk. I tend towards jazz rock.

Well, I don't know...Ergo Sum style is an excellent blend of many things, but blues and  folk, imo, are the real focus of their music. A jazzy touch appears here and there, anyway.

   Bye.

OK, I'll try to retrieve those samples from my Art Rock partner, who seems to have forgotten everything about themWink.... Then we'll evaluate the band, and see if the addition can be made in the shortest possible time.

Of course. It's a great band, only impaired by their very bad singer. They 'd fit well in Canterbury as they're close to SM, but jazzrock would be fine as well, cause they developed their own style.

As soon as I can find my album in the box following my move, I'll check them out again.
