Somebody has just flagged up the existence of CTA at the Fusenet website, after some talk as to the current whereabout of shredder Marc Bonilla. CTA...........? I think the presence of former Chicago alumni Danny Seraphine is part of the explanation of the band's name.  Check:
http://www.ctatheband.com/
for a compilation of what the band sound like - and there is a revamped early Chicago tune sampled -  it appears they are looking for a record deal/distributor right at the moment. The music samples of CTA  there suggest Chicago  but tighter and jazzier. Any USA based fans of Chicago or CTA, please keep me posted.

Apparently Danny Seraphine got the boot from Chicago (and I thought he had left on his own accord when album Chicago 906 was released)- always felt his drumming on the early albums was pretty special and  one of those elements of Chicago's playing then that still makes the first three albums favourites.

Danbo I knew you'd spot this post. You're closer to the scene than me by 5000miles, so let us now if they do get a record out.
