Israeli band ZINGALE has recorded a new album, the first since the 70's and their previuos Peace.
The album is called The Bright Side and it has most of the original lineup appearing. They are now looking for a label that will distribute it.

ZINGALE biography

Israeli progressive rock band from the 70's, hailing from Tel Aviv & Ramat-Gan. They managed to complete only one (English-sung) album, called "Peace", in 1975. The band disbanded due to low sales in Israel and no international interest in their music. ZINGALE's chief talents were Tony Brower (violin) and Adi Weiss (keyboards), but also Udi Tamir's bass is worthy of mention. The lyrics were inspired by the painful memories of the Israeli "Yom Kippur" war in 1973 (some of the band members fought that war, and lost relatives & friends), and are concerned with the importance of global peace.

ZINGALE's album has been reissued on CD in 1992, with some Hebrew-sung bonus tracks that were intended for their next Israeli album. There's also a later digipack version of that same reissue. The sound quality is below average, since the master tapes were not found at the time. There are rumours of a planned remaster using newly found master tapes, but it hadn't materialized it.

I think it's more like Night of the Living Dead.... LOL
 
 
But seriously, I think it's exciting and I am very intersted to see what path they will choose for this record. I can't imagine them doing a similar thing to their Peace album. That album had nothing Israeli about it, and I am not sure that this will be the road taken this time. But then again, I might be surprised.
Anyway, looking forward to it.

Did you try already this short "teaser" from their new album?
 
There will be 7 songs and 7 instrumental on the new album which is called The Bright Side

The new record sounds a little dusty and out-dated for me, twirling synths, back to the Prog-roots, Yes inspired....good musicianship, but not my cup of tea. I am just listening to the samples of their 70's record which sound more 'genuine' similar to Kansas,Yes & Caravan, nice violin .  Great pic of  the international long-haired&bearded  Progger
