The Summer’s End Festival is pleased to announce the second group of three bands to be confirmed for this year’s event, to be held at The Robin, Bilston on September 15th and 16th.

We are very excited to welcome our first headliner, Sweden’s PAIN OF SALVATION.  Fronted by the talented and charismatic Daniel Gildenlow, the band this year celebrates a decade of recording with their sixth studio album Scarsick.  Combining varied and dynamic progressive rock with strong metal elements, the band make thought-provoking and emotional music, and are well known for their inspirational and imaginative live shows. This appearance marks a rare chance for UK fans to see the band in concert, playing a full set.

Our next confirmed overseas artists are YESTERDAYS, Hungarian nationals based in Romania.  This remarkable 8-piece band plays dynamic, melodic progressive rock with its inspiration firmly in the 1970s, spiced with a touch of traditional Hungarian music.  Stunning female vocals from Kinga Janosi combine with flute, guitar and analog keyboards on their excellent album Holdfenykert (Moonlit garden), which is often reminiscent of Yes and Renaissance.

We are very happy to welcome to the festival former Enid guitarist Nick May’s band WHIMWISE, which also includes keyboard player Gonzalo Carrera (Karnataka) and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Alquemia, among others. Their unusual music combines a strong classical structure with rock and electronic instrumentation, while still remaining fundamentally accessible.
