Looking for opinions on Neil Zaza.
Guitar instrumentalist, sometimes melodic, sometimes shredder.
What do you think? Is it more technique than musicality or is it valid?

I think he is a great guitarist,he doesn't shred all the time(same with guitarist Michael Harris, who I have been listening to quite a bit.).I think they both balance technique and musicality pretty equally.

And Zaza isn't in the archives so this has to go to the Non Prog Music section.

I do agree it's not really prog but  what  would you catagorize it other than 'Non Prog'?

I have seriously considered proposing Michael Harris as a prog metal addition.I would have to hear more Zaza before I did that though,I only have When Gravity Fails.
