Io Sono Nato Libero, although their early releases are all fantastic. I am not a huge fan of Le Orme.

Io Sono Nato Libero is my favorite prog album, so it was easy for me to vote.

It's very hard to choose as I love several albums by both of these bands.
I could go for Banco del's debut, Io Sono Nato Libero, or Darwin. But then I also love Le Orme's Uomo di Pezza, Felona e Serona, and Contrappunti. Today I choose Banco del's debut, next week maybe Le Orme's Contrappunti -- depends on my mood. In recent months I have been listening to more Banco though, but Le Orme was my first Italian Prog love, PFM my second, and Banco my third. |

By the way... If you love Le Orme and you can understand Italian, there's a new book about the band...

here you can find a review of the book: http://www.movimentiprog.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=587&page=1

since Uomo di Pezza got edged out in DB's poll...
incredible album.... and Le Orme was spot on with it the other night. |

Le Orme are my favourite band of the two. So my vote goes to Felona e Sorona.
About Banco I prefer Io Sono Nato Libero than the previous (great) Darwin.
Well, Micky, the concert was fantastic and, yes, the section dedicated to Uomo di Pezza was so rich and involving...with that powerful organ intro to Una Dolcezza Nuova...

I agree completely! And do not forget what they did in the late 1970s: Le Orme's "Florian" simply overshadows "Canto di Primavera".

I only own three, but of them, Darwin!
Both Felona and Io Sono are competitors, however. |
