Brilliant album, but the final song (the second of the 10 minute monsters) seems to do nothing for me.. too bad..
"An old Friend of the Christies" is brilliant! |

On their myspace, they say the title of their new album will be "Frames", and it will be out in September. They also have an edit of a song from the upcoming album called Unfamiliar.

You're not alone Ed - I prefer Effloresce, but other stuff great too. They really should be bigger than they are. I'm tempted to say I'd like them to get heavier - they're the nearest thing in the UK I've heard to Isis etc.
Great band.

Am I the only one that likes the debut more than Everyone into Position?
Well, both albums and the Ep are great, but Effloresce is awesome.

Good news.
Oceansize is my favourite modern-prog group together with Coheed And Cambria. Looking forward to Oceansize's third!!! |

I agree, I was stunned when I first heard Everyone into Position. I thought Effloresce was good, but it certainly had room for improvement. Everyone into Position is an amazing album! I didn't expect it to be that good! I found it at a local Barnes and Noble and I thought I'd buy it for the hell of it. I'm certainly glad I bought it! I'm really looking forward to their new album. |

I'm psyched.
Their second album was better than their first, IMO, so if this one continues the trend, it's going to be amazing. |

Well, after a while, Oceansize have finally updated their website and there is good news! They're going to the studio to record their third album with an expected release in Fall 2007. This is definitely great news from one of the up and coming bands of modern prog!
Here's their website for other details: http://www.oceansize.co.uk/news.php |
