10 April 2007 : General update »

The Steven Wilson "Collecting Space" EP compiling tracks made available on SW's MySpace page is in preparation for release towards the middle of this year on Headphone Dust, as is the Bass Communion "Pacific Codex" CD/DVDA on Equation Records. In the meantime SW appears in one capacity or another as a guest on forthcoming releases by VidnaObmana ("The Bowing Harmony"), Fovea Hex ("Allure"), and Dream Theater ("Systematic Chaos"). Also his 2 long-form Bass Communion remixes for Theo Travis and Fear Falls Burning will be issued soon on vinyl releases by ToneFloat.

I think the word "workaholic" was invented for this guy!

Shame he had to go over to the dark side.....Dream Theater = NOT COOL! Tongue

It doesn't say he plays on the DT album Wink
(I hope he does though, would make the purchase a lot more worthy)

Yeah, but Vidna Obmana's pretty damn good at that ambient thing, so SW's karma balances out a bit.

And all the rest is just bullsh*t

I don't surprise that much this new... Steven is a guy who likes what he does better: the music. Anyway, i found amazing that he's still working with so many bands, ad portas of the new PT release and with the Blackfield new record in his shoulders.

DT + SW? DT with guests???
Sound intriguingly.
I don't think SW will play on the album, maybe some vocals? But it would be stupid.

Maybe Wilson will replace LaBrie on the vocals and do the songwriting instead of DT.Wink
