Yes, Cold Is Being by Renaissance is set to Albinoni's music

Oh,oh, oh... "Icarus Dream Suite" was that piece from the debut album... I was thinking of something more recent, from his orchestral album. Haha, long time, no listen...
Since my memory is now refreshed, yes, the opening of "Icarus Dream Suite Op. 4" (some pretentious title there) is Albinoni's "Adagio in G minor". It was used by many rock bands, including The Doors ("A Feast of Friends" from An American Prayer), Dismal Euphony (who did a black metal quote of the same piece on their debut album) and... I'm sure there are more, but they don't come to mind now. There was also an interpretation by Gustavo Montesano (of Crucis fame) on a solo album, orchestra included.

I don't know Renaisance either, but the Malmsteen intro might also be an Adagio (in G minor?) by Albinoni

Wasn't "Icarus Dream Suite" an adaptation of a Bach theme (like many other Malmsteen tracks)? I can't remember eaxctly what it sounded like, and I don't know the Renaissance one, but that might be the explanation.

Listening to Icarus Dream Suite by Yngwie Malmsteen i noticed that the start was note for note the same as Cold is Being by Renaissance. Has anyone else noticed this/is it credited anywhere. Also what other songs have people found that sound remarkably similar to other songs?
