I have just added 8 titles to the 9 already listed under FRITH, FRED. Man, that wasn't easy if you look at some of the credits and number of tracks. You can cut and paste much information, but you have to manually add the time information. And in the case of the one out of print one, The Technology of Tears, I had to manually enter everything. Fortunately, that one only had five tracks. I could have done better but someone already beat me to 5 of the 9.
There's a lot more out there that I couldn't add since I don't have them (yet) and can't complete the track time information:
Accidental (2002)
Friends & Enemies (1999)
Happy End Problem (2007) England
Previous Evening (1997)
Prints (2003)
That House We Lived In (2003)
Middle of the Moment (1995) DVD
Freedom In Fragments (2002)
Fred hasn't been attracting too many reviews and that situation should be remedied.
That alone is 11 more titles. I'd love to see these added and reviewed. I'll try my best to review all I added, but it's going to take some time. Frith is a really prolific bugger.

I havnt actually heard any of fred's solo stuff, but from listening to the first two henry cow records, i already know the man's a genius. His first one, that solo guitar album, sounds really good as im a big john cage fan and it seems quite reminicent of Cage's work for piano.
good work!

I was about to add one to the Fred Frith section, but it didn't seem right. Reflecting on these two albums, they really were band efforts, so even if it'll be like pulling teeth to get them added, I am going to restrain myself. Glad Skeleton Crew already has it's own listing.
By the way I want to put in a plug for CD Universe for providing the track and musician information I cut and pasted to make assembling the album listings much more easy. And when they didn't have complete info, the Winter & Winter label of some of the titles I added is an excellent resourse. Edited by Slartibartfast - May 11 2007 at 19:42 |

I'll try and listen to some Tone Dog soon (I heard a couple of tracks by them recently) and if I deem them suitable, they'll hopefully be added.
I also want to add Caveman Shoestore (not necessarily under RIO/Avant-Prog... not sure where yet, I need to listen to them some more). |

Clearly Caveman Hughscore is Canterbury, but I've not heard them sans Hugh Hopper. Edited by Dick Heath - May 13 2007 at 07:44 |
