Long, Dark Music Announces Digital Availability of Kurt Rongey’s With Form It Threatens Silence.

Third album is follow-up to critically-acclaimed That Was Propaganda.

Long, Dark Music announces immediate digital availability of With Form It Threatens Silence, the third album by Texas-based rock composer Kurt Rongey.   It is now available for download in CD-quality FLAC format ($8.99) and high-quality compressed OGG format audio ($6.99) from Mindawn (www.mindawn.com).   There are no pending plans for a CD release of With Form It Threatens Silence.   Printable high-resolution CD graphics are available by email for anyone who downloads the tracks from Mindawn.

Fans of Rongey and his internationally-known progressive rock band The Underground Railroad are in for a treat with this collection of keyboard-intensive, structurally elaborate rock tracks.   The 23-minute album closer “Kunstwolle,” exploring man’s growing mastery over his own evolution, is Rongey’s most ambitious and challenging work thus far.   Other selections include “Eroica,” a salute to scientific curiosity, the enigmatic three-part instrumental “Mechmech,” and “Lie Still,” a dark and cautionary examination of faith.   Guest David Bagsby also shares composition and performance credit on the track “Mechmech c.”   Although it was largely completed in 1995, its first release finally takes place in 2007.

Rongey has studied at the Royal College of Music in London and has degrees in composition and piano performance.   In addition to his activities as a composer, keyboardist, singer and drummer, he also serves as Program Director for Dallas classical radio station WRR 101.1 FM.    More biographical information is available at www.kurtrongey.com.
