Any other fan of this great British prog band?

I love every of their recordings to date (with no exception) and I find it difficult to point a favorite release from this band, anyway I'd say that "Book of Kells" and "Journey Into the Morn" have been on the top of my listening sessions for quite a long time. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to buy their latest album yet (The Circling Hour), but I can hardly wait to get it. Another must is their Live in London recent DVD, that I also liked a lot. And as for the solo efforts of Iona members, which are the best ones? I loved Dave Bainbridge's Veil of Gossamer and found David Fitzgerald's Breath of Heaven pretty interesting too. Troy Donockley & Dave Bainbridge's When Worlds Colide is also good, even though not as great as his aforementioned solo effort IMO.

So, how about your favorites?

Hey, Progger. I've gotten into Iona within the past 8 months, but started buying their stuff pretty heavily the past couple of months.

I love all of their stuff, and like you, I can't really pick a favorite yet. The Woven Cord is pretty powerful, but may lean towards Journey Into The Morn, Open Sky, and their newest disc The Circling Hour. I can't recommend it enough.

I love how they've blended spirituality, celtic music, and prog into a beautiful, forceful ride for the listener. I can't get enough of them.

I only have Journey Into The Morn and while its very pleasant, it hasn't really struck me as anything special. Maybe I need to listen again?

Journey Into the Morn is very representative of the typical Iona sound (as very well described above by our fellow E-Dub). The music is really very spiritual, atmospheric sounding, with Christian/Celtic elements. If I am not wrong this is one of the Iona recordings featuring the guest collaboration of Robert Fripp.

One of my favorite bands.  I got into them by accident.  Back in the early 90's I went to get a cassette of another band and The Book of Kells was what packaged instead.  Gotta love mistakes like that!

Even though I love all their albums I keep gravitating towards Beyond These Shores.  Nick Beggs and Terl Bryant are awesome and there's a lot of feeling in it.  Tracks like Beachy Head, Murlough Bay and Bird of Heaven always give me chills.

My favorites are Open Sky and Woven Cord.

I recently got The Book Of Kells from emusic about a week ago after accidently finding them on last.fm. Haven't really had a chance to listen to it yet, maybe tomorrow. If so I'll get back here.

I saw them in concert several times, in Holland and in England. They're really good.
 
I consider "Book Of Kells" as their masterpiece.

I've had "Book of Kells" on my to-buy list for many moons now but never took that leap of faith.  With the positive feedback this thread has injected into my psyche I just might spring for it this summer.  It seems like it would be something I would enjoy.  Thanks, guys/gals.

So far I've only got "The circling hour", which I really like. I'm certain I will buy more of them soon.
