Also, I'd like to pass along this information:

ProgDay Announces Ticket Sale Information

Tickets for ProgDay 2007 will go on sale Monday June 4, 2007.  Tickets may be purchased through pay pal or via check.  Please check the tickets section of the ProgDay web site (http://www.progday. com) for more details or to order tickets.

Ticket prices for 2007 are as follows:

Children 16 And Under Free
Advance Weekend Pass (purchase prior to Aug 15) - $90
Weekend Pass (after Aug 15) - $100
Single Day Passes (weekend of the show only) - $60
Patron Pass - (advance purchase prior to Aug 15) - $140*

*Note - Patron passes are an opportunity for those who wish to make a donation to help keep ProgDay vibrant and alive.  The additional money helps fund this year and future ProgDays.  Patron pass holders will also receive preferred parking privileges at Storybook Farm.  For those who have not visited Storybook Farm the main parking area is several hundred yards from the performance area.  Patron pass holders are allowed to park to the left of the pavilion / performance area which is considerably closer than the main parking lot.  Preferred parking privileges pertain to Storybook Farm only.  In the event that the festival moves indoors there will be no preferred parking privileges at The Arts Center.

Advance weekend passes are limited to 300 due to the capacity of our backup venue.  Be sure to purchase yours early so you will not be shut out.

At this time it is likely that the last band on Sunday will not be announced prior to tickets going on sale.  This is unfortunate, but we want to make sure we have the final band nailed down prior to announcing them.  We will do our best to get an announcement out as soon as possible.

Yes I saw that. However, I am officially part of the promotions team for Progday so it's my responsibility to post all the latest announcements. If others want to post that's fine too. However, I have special permission from the PD organizer. ;)

Storybook Farm will be transported into the realms of inner and outer space on Saturday, September 1, when Nik Turner's Space Ritual takes the stage.  Turner is best known as one of the founding members of the seminal British progressive / space rock outfit Hawkwind.  Turner was a member of the band during their heyday in the 70's and again in the mid 80's and is responsible for many Hawkwind classics including "Master Of The Universe," "Brainstorm, " "Sonic Attack" and "Silver Machine."  In 1994 Turner formed Space Ritual for further explorations into space rock.  The ProgDay lineup will feature Turner along with ex-Hawkwind member Paul Rudolph (bass and vocals), Mark Powell (guitar), Sam Lohman (drums), and Galaxy Girl (keys and effects).  Space Ritual has put out several albums and performed numerous memorable live appearances in the last decade.  The band will be releasing a new live DVD entitled "Satiricon" in the near future.  Nik Turner's Space Ritual tours mainly in Europe, so this will be a special opportunity for fans in the U.S. to catch a rare stateside appearance.  The band will perform a mix of classic Hawkwind and newer material that feature Turner's unique brand of musical mayhem.  Check out the Space Ritual website at www.spaceritual. org.

ProgDay 2007 happens at Storybook Farm near Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on September 1 and 2, 2007.  Visit our website at http://www.progday. com for more details.
