Sorry to be a snob, but the Black Keys is the essential two piece stripped down garage punk blues band (sans bass guitar) - check out Rubber Factory for raw blues

The White Stripes are the most important modern rock band today. They display a genuine level of energy and originality aswell as playing good ol' solid rock and roll. Meg's straight ahead drumming and Jacks killer riffs and voice smoke any of these cookie cutter kiddies and their 3 cords anyday.

The White Stripes are one of my guilty pleasures.  "Get Behind Me Satan" is interesting in its way, although not as immediate as their other stuff.

I have that album from The White Stripes and I have to say it's very good. The songs rock!! and it's one of the new bands that I think are not bulls*** as others (Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and all that s***).

i've never heard such an amateurish racket as the white stripes, so what made me buy "7 nation army" and "dead leaves..."?? there is something  hooking us in. could they be aliens from another planet sent here to do a "pied piper"  job on us all.....?? are we being brainwashed by an alien intelligence?LOL
