Hey, where are the Bauer fans? Nobody from Argentina to promote this great band here at PA? Shocked  Brazilians and Argentinians are like cat and rat in soccer, but we know how to appreciate good music from each other. That's the case of this awesome new band called BAUER, one of my current favorites. Wink

To me they sound like a beautiful mix of Pink Floyd and Radiohead, with the huge utilization of vintage instruments such as Moog, Farfisa, Oberheim and Mellotron.

Some songs available for download at their website:

Cheers,
Demetrio.

I think BAUER are amazing,i have both of their albums and agree that they have a Radiohead sound.Have you heard of Fraktal, also from Argentina. They are also an incredible band.

The only Bauer cd I have now is "Astronauta Olvidado", that is simply brilliant. Clap I have the others on the top of my want list.

Fraktal is also excellent indeed. "Ask the Rabbit" is the only I have and I don't know if they have any other album available.

Very glad to meet another fan of these two awesome bands!! Thumbs%20Up

I have reviewed both albums on the homepage and in the Symphonic Prog Appreciation thread, especially the first Astronauto Olvidado (loaded with Mellotron Approve) is very compelling with strong hints from Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree and Radiohead but the Spanish, quite melancholic vocals give an extra dimension to the music Thumbs%20Up

Good idea to support Bauer (indeed Angelo, in Holland a Dutch singer, way from prog with his sentimental songs about love and life Cry), I hope it will help to let progheads discover the wonderful sound of BAUER Clap!

I heard BAUER's tracks available via their site, and they're great really. I've purchased FRAKTAL by sinkadotentree recommendation , later I'll tell you how does it sound like to me
